The least we can do is make sure the software does not let them down. That is why chamalog exists: a group we knew was running a year's savings out of a notebook that lived in one person's house. We built the thing that replaced it, and then we kept running it.

A live system for Kenyan savings groups: member register, contributions, meetings, balances. One record, counted once, reported the same way every time.
It's here because the record types are the ones that break in charity field data — a register kept by hand, money logged in a book, numbers retyped into a report. We built that join, in Kenya, and we still run it.

We are not SOC 2 audited.
That is the complete list of what we hold and what we do not. Here is our DPA. If your policy requires an audited processor, say so on the first call and we will tell you plainly whether we qualify.
Who you'd be working with
I am one engineer, in Nairobi, and I do this work myself. I spent enough time sitting with field officers to know that the system fails at the last kilometre — the form that won't save, the report typed twice, the disbursement reconciled by hand. I write the code and I answer the email. If it turns out I am the wrong fit for your programme, I will say so on the first call.
